Partner with us
We are looking for the right people
We are looking for the right people
Not the fastest. Not the biggest. The right ones.
Nostra Veridicus is at an early stage and we are deliberate about that. The research cannot be rushed, and the partnerships we form now will shape what this system becomes. We are looking for three kinds of partner, each essential, each at a different stage of our development.
Academic and research partners
The research programme at the heart of this project requires academic partnership. Not as a funding mechanism or a credibility stamp, as a genuine intellectual collaboration. We are seeking researchers who find the questions genuinely interesting and who want to produce work that matters beyond the journal.
What the research offers:
- A genuinely novel research problem. Longitudinal harm pattern detection in gaming and platform environments, validated across diverse communities and grounded in clinical psychology. This has not been done. There is original work to be published.
- Real-world deployment context. The research will be tested in actual platform environments, not in laboratory conditions. The data is real. The outcomes are real.
- Demonstrable societal impact. Child safeguarding, mental health support, exploitation prevention, the REF impact case writes itself, and the impact is genuine.
- Multi-disciplinary scope. The project sits across clinical psychology, criminology, linguistics, and computer science. It is the kind of problem that benefits from people who do not usually work together.
What we are looking for:
- Researchers in clinical psychology, criminology, computational linguistics, or social data science with an interest in online harm, child safeguarding, or platform governance
- Academic departments with established ethics infrastructure and experience of industry-academic collaboration
- Individuals interested in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership or equivalent structured collaboration as the project develops
- Postdoctoral researchers or senior PhD students interested in an initial scoping engagement
Funders
We are building something that takes time to do properly. The research phase, before any commercial product exists, is the most important investment the project requires. We are looking for funders who understand the difference between slow-and-right and fast-and-wrong.
What the project offers funders:
- Clear societal mission with measurable outcomes; earlier detection of harm to children and vulnerable adults on digital platforms
- Independent governance; funds do not flow to a commercially driven detection system; they fund a research programme governed by a clinical and academic board
- Regulatory alignment; the project is designed to support platform compliance with the Online Safety Act, the EU Digital Services Act, and the Children's Code. The regulatory tailwind is real.
- Publication and knowledge outputs; the research produces publicly available findings, not just a proprietary product
We are interested in conversations with charitable foundations, research councils, and impact investors whose mandate includes digital safety, child protection, or mental health. We are at pre-seed stage. We are not looking for volume, we are looking for the right fit.
Platform partners
We are not yet seeking platform partnerships at scale. The research must come first. However, we are interested in early-stage conversations with platforms, particularly in gaming and social, who:
Have a genuine safeguarding problem they are not solving adequately with current tools
Are willing to contribute to the research phase, including by providing anonymised data under appropriate agreements
-
Understand that the most valuable thing we can offer them is not speed but defensibility, a system whose basis they can explain to regulators, parents, and users
